I am Colleen Stewart. I am a wife, a mother, a business owner and an active member of Ward 15.
In the time I have lived here, I have made connections through volunteering and being an active member of my church, through acting as parent officer and Chair of my son’s School Council and engaging in neighbourhood activism when the garbage on our streets got out of control.
As a skilled communicator and facilitator, I listen, remember what was said, and connect people and ideas. I have a history of speaking out when something is not right. I am willing to be the one who stands up where others can’t.
I love where I live and it pains me to see something wonderful fraying at the edges.
Ward 15 is one of the most desirable places to live in the City of Hamilton. Yet most residents feel overtaxed and overlooked. We see our tax dollars going to solve problems in downtown Hamilton, problems that have nothing to do with life in Ward 15.
We see it every day:
This isn’t about asking for more than our share. It’s about finally getting our fair share.
Tell me your concerns and I will bring them to City Hall.

I don’t just talk about community. I work for it.
Leadership starts with action, and I believe in doing the work.

I believe in:
I will fight for everyone in this Ward, regardless of personal politics or who they voted for.
